Apple products are news makers and there is nothing different with the most awaited iPhone 7. Since the start of the year, iPhone 7 has been in the news, be it for its design, specifications or expected features and what not.
iPhone 7, which is expected to release this fall, is rumored to have a close resemblance with its predecessors. The Tech Giant follows a traditional pattern of overhauling the design of its flagship iPhone every two years, but this seems to change this year. Apple is rumored to release iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus with the screen size similar to the previous generation of iPhone 6s & 6s Plus i.e. 4.7 inches and 5.5 inches.
No more standard 3.5 mm earpods
According to Wall Street Journal, only noticeable change will be removal of 3.5mm headphone jack and replacing it with its new Ear Pods with standard Lightning Connector which is used for fast charging as of now. According to the recent news, apple could be offering a lightning adapter in order to allow its customers to use their conventional Ear pods or Headphones with new iPhone. As with the removal of headphone jack and using the charging port for the headphones, there are doubts about charging the phone while the Ear Pods are plugged in. To resolve this issue, Apple is also exploring the option of Wireless charging technology that could be included in the new iPhone 7. Additionally, Apple is said to be updating the proximity sensor to a “dual specification” that the company hopes will be more accurate. It’s not entirely clear what the report means by dual specification, but presumably the omitter and receiver will be broken into two.
At the same time, it is rumored that headphone jack can be stayed and can be joined by a Dual SIM tray, given the fact that no iPhone has featured such capabilities before. However, we don’t believe Apple will ever go in that direction and offer a dual sim phone.
A Dual Lens Camera Setup
Sources have suggested that a dual camera set up could be offered on iPhone 7 plus model while its sibling could only get a larger camera with just one lens. It is rumored that Samsung, Oppo, Vivo, Xiaomi are also exploring dual lens camera for their upcoming smartphones, so it will be interesting to see what the mobile industry offers.
Now an iPhone with even larger storage
The iPhone 7 Plus model could also be an only model receiving a 256 GB storage option. Thus iPhone 7 plus can be offered with 16 Gb, 64 GB, and 256 GB, i.e. Apple is all set to remove its 128 GB version. Moreover, iPhone 7 may ship with 2GB RAM compared to 3 GB option in plus version.
Recent leaks about the product suggest that Apple is rethinking its home button for this year handset. Instead of a button, it will provide a touch sensitive pad. Users will have to perform tapping actions to activate specific actions. Battery life is expected to be same or slightly better than its predecessor iPhone 6s plus. Apple is also working on AMOLED displays for future products, but this may not be included in the coming release.
The rumored release date of the awaited iPhone 7 is this fall, i.e. at the end of September 2016.
Whatever the final product will be, Expect even longer waiting queues in front of Apple Stores this fall. So which features you are most excited about. Share your views in comments with us.

Google is coming up with an update to the mobile version of Chrome, which promises to decrease data usage while browsing by as much as 50%.
Google announced the upcoming changes to its browser Wednesday in a blog post, saying, “In the U.S. alone, more than a fifth of adult smartphone users now do most of their online browsing on their mobile device. Around the world, we’re seeing a similar trend towards more mobile browsing. That’s why we’ll be rolling out a new feature on Chrome for Mobile to help you reduce data usage and save money on your mobile plan. When enabled, Chrome’s data compression and bandwidth management can reduce data usage by up to 50% while browsing the web on Chrome for Android and iOS. This feature also enables Chrome’s Safe Browsing technology which helps protect you from malicious webpages.”

However to reduce data usage, users must enable the data-savings option in Chrome’s “settings” menu. With this setting, users will also be able to track the amount of data they’re saving each month.
This update will be available for both Android and iOS. The iOS update will also bring Google Translate to Apple devices, which translates webpages while browsing. This feature is already available on the desktop and Android versions of Chrome.
Lastly, this upcoming release of Chrome for Android will allow you to create shortcuts to your favorite websites right from your homescreen for faster and easier access to the web. When visiting a site you’d like to save, simply select “Add to homescreen” from the toolbar menu. For certain websites, the shortcut will open in a full-screen experience and appear as a separate app in the Android app switcher. This update is set to roll out over the next few days.

Google has just acquired Nest Labs, the maker of the Nest Learning Thermostat and Protect smoke detector, for $3.2 billion in cash. Nest reinvented unloved but important home products, like the thermostat and the smoke alarm focusing on simple, beautiful and thoughtful hardware and services. Google CEO Larry Page announced this on his Google+ stream:
Google is being quick to assure users that Nest will continue to operate under its own brand. While the transaction is subject to the usual regulatory review, Google says it expects the sale to close within the next few months. Google Ventures had already invested millions of dollars in Nest, so the company has been on Mountain View’s radar for some time now.
How Google plans to use Nest is still a mystery, but the company obviously sees it as an important part of its future. A combination of Nest’s home solutions coupled with Google’s language recognition could give Google its strongest path yet into your home.
“Google will help us fully realize our vision of the conscious home and allow us to change the world faster than we ever could if we continued to go it alone,” writes co-founder Tony Fadell on the Nest blog.“We’ve had great momentum, but this is a rocket ship.”
“We’re thrilled to join Google. With their support, Nest will be even better placed to build simple, thoughtful devices that make life easier at home, and that have a positive impact on the world.” Nest CEO Tony Fadell said in a statement.
Nest will continue to offer apps for both iOS and Android. That means Apple fans will not be left disappointed. There’s also a possibility that Google’s other products will eventually integrate more tightly with the Nest lineup, but so far, Google is staying mum. Until that day comes, we’ll leave you to speculate — feel free to leave your best guesses in the comments.

According to the latest rumors Apple is developing new iPhone designs including bigger screens with curved glass and enhanced sensors that can detect different levels of pressure. There are two iPhone models that are rumored to be under development planned for release in second half of next year. Apple is also implementing sensors that can distinguish heavy or light touches on the screen.
The two new models would be Apple’s largest iPhones
With screen size of 4.7 inches and 5.5 inches, the two new models would be Apple’s largest iPhones, the person said, and would directly compete with Samsung’s Note 3 phablet. The new Apple handsets are still in development and plans haven’t been completed.
These are still rumors so take them with grain of salt. But Apple fans would definitely like to have iPhones with bigger screens.

Just one day after launch, Blackberry has reported that its BBM app for Android and iOS has been downloaded over 10 million times. The app has already topped the charts of Apple Store in 75 countries, including the US, Canada, the UK, Indonesia and most of the Middle East. On Android, BBM has earned 60,000 five-star reviews out of about 87,000 reviews.
The response on both platforms has been tremendous till now. Most of the users seems to be pretty much satisfied with the efforts of BlackBerry. However the app was originally set to come out in September, but BlackBerry delayed its release after a leaked version was allegedly downloaded by a millions of users throwing company’s servers going haywire. At that time, the release was aborted which earned much criticism to the company. So this time company was well prepared after the initial response. There was a wait list for the activation (not for people who have already registered for this service) and the access has been denied for the previously leaked app.
Now the next step is maintaining an active user base after the initial rush of downloads passes.

BlackBerry has announced that BlackBerry Messenger will be released today for Android and iOS. The company originally planned to release its messaging app late last month, but because of an early version leaked out, those plans were pushed back bringing criticism to the company. That unreleased early version was downloaded by more than 1 million users around the world affecting the BBM Servers.
To prevent a repeat of last month’s server troubles, the company is implementing a wait list system: those who signed up in advance can use BBM right away, while latecomers will have to secure a spot in line.
Here’s how it is going to work
BBM Roll Out Details:
- Download BBM – the easiest way is to visit BBM.com from your Android or iPhone browser*
- Once you install the app, open it, and enter your email address to hold your spot in line
- We will email you as soon as you reach the front of the line and can start using BBM
It’s not quite the broad launch many were hoping for, but at last it is good news for BBM fans.
According to BlackBerry
“In the next few hours, people will start seeing BBM in Google Play, the App Store and in select Samsung App Stores”
“We are focused on moving millions of customers through the line as fast as possible,” BlackBerry says. The company will be providing updates on “how quickly the line is moving” via its Twitter account. So get your Droids & iPhones ready.
