KFC is one of the leading fast food chains in India. In March, the fast food chain launched the 5-in-1 Meal Box to provide a complete meal at an affordable price to their customers. But with a step forward, KFC has tied up with a digital agency, Blink Digital to launch ‘watt a box’. The box will have 5-in-1 meal with a built in power bank to charge a phone.
Delicious Fried Chicken with Phone Charging
This special box will contain features such as USB, micro-USB and Lightning connections — and even includes the cables — to charge your mobile devices with delicious 5 meals. The box comes with magnetic flaps and contains your usual meal but has a power bank integrated on its side. The best thing is the power bank is removable, so you can carry it along. The power bank claims to have a 6,100mAh battery.
The fast-food chain has launched this limited-edition “Watt-A-Box” packages in Delhi and Mumbai. Most of these boxes are up for grabs through an online contest, although some are being gifted to customers at select stores. If you are one of the lucky winners of a Watt a Box, you’ll not only get some truly unhealthy (but simply amazing) grub, but a 6,100mAh battery with all the connections — and cables — you’ll need to charge your favorite device.
Do It satisfy the claims??
According to the test conducted by BGR this Box fall short for the claims made. They tested on iPhone 5s with the battery pack and gained 17 percent after half-an-hour. Not terrible, until you factor in that the battery bank was completely drained during that time. After recharging it to 100 percent, they attempted to charge a Redmi Note 3, but only managed to get 7 percent before the battery died again.
Clearly the box doesn’t fulfill its claims but can charge your phone at least till the time you finish your yummy food. So, as unlikely as it may seem, the best portable battery banks probably aren’t coming in KFC containers. But, that doesn’t make the promotion any less cool.
Besides, this isn’t the first time these fast food Brands—Pizza Hut, KFC, and Taco Bell—has tried such innovations. Back in September last year, KFC came up with the ‘Don’t Panic Man’ campaign in Romania, which rewarded people with a free meal for coming to a KFC store when social media platforms were down. KFC is not the only one to toy with such marketing campaigns. Pizza Hut came up with a limited edition box in Hong Kong that converted into a projector for smartphones. McDonald’s had launched a special edition of its Happy Meal boxes in Sweden that could be converted into cardboard VR headsets. Coca Cola too had a similar cardboard VR headset one could make from its 12-pack cartons.
So you never know what is next in store for these Brands to attract their customers.
If anybody tried “Watt a Box”, they are welcome to share their experiences with us. Do comment below and we are all ears to listen to your feedback.

People have tumbled down the steps of the Taj Mahal, fallen off bridges and been electrocuted in an effort to take the perfect selfie.
In fact, Selfies have killed more people than sharks this year. According to media reports, at least 12 people have been killed in selfie-related incidents so far in 2015 and many more injured, while only eight have died as a result of shark attacks.
The latest selfie-related death was of a 66-year-old Japanese tourist, who reportedly suffered a heart attack while posing with a selfie stick at the Taj Mahal in India last week. Other deaths have been caused by distracted photo-takers falling off cliffs, crashing their cars & being hit by trains. In Russia, a teenager shot himself in the head, posing for a selfie, few weeks back. In another incident two men in the Urals were killed while taking a selfie of themselves holding a hand grenade with the pin pulled out.
Some governments have introduced measures to reduce the risk of accident. The selfie craze has proven so dangerous that officials in Australia had to fence off a 16-storey high rock that looks like a wedding cake because people wouldn’t stop taking selfies on it, despite fears of its collapse any time.
“It’s all about me. It’s putting me in the frame. I’m getting attention and when I post that to social media, I’m getting the confirmation that I need from other people that I’m awesome,”lead researcher Jesse Fox told Reuters. “You don’t care about the tourist attraction you’re destroying; you don’t care about annoying people in your social media feed … you’re not even thinking about the consequences of your actions, so who cares if you’re dangling off the side of the Eiffel Tower?”
The moral of the story seems to be not only that fatal shark attacks are far less common than you might think, but to think twice before you do something reckless in the hope the photo will win you some approval online.

As a part of the crowd funded Super Awesome Micro Project, two talented guys from Australia, Steve Sammartino and Raul Oaida built a functional car out of Lego bricks that runs on air. They used around 500,000 Lego bricks and 256 pistons to design this masterpiece. The car, from engine to seats, is made completely from the tiny bricks, with the exception of a few structural parts including wheels, tires, and gauges. According to an estimate they’ve dropped $60,000 on Lego bricks alone.
Forty Australian patrons funded the project after seeing a single tweet that Sammartino sent.
Anyone interested in investing $500-$1000 in a project which is awesome & a world first tweet me. Need about 20 participants… #startup
“We are building something that has not been built before. It is high tech, eco friendly, quirky, strange and very, very cool. Those involved can come to the launch party. An official page of ‘patrons’ will be developed on a .com address so the world will know those who made it a reality. We will launch it to the world via a video – a mini doco. But it will be real. People can come, see and touch it.” said Steve Sammartino in the Super Awesome Micro Project Prospectus.
The car was built in Romania and then shipped to an undisclosed location in Melbourne, which was not an easy task.
“The car was significantly damaged during shipping,” Sammartino told an Australian podcast. “We were like, ‘Well it’s just Lego, we’ll snap the pieces back together,’ But it wasn’t that easy. The pieces were warped because it had gone across the Equator, pieces were freezing and heating up — it was worse than you’d think.”
But they were able to patch those damages up, and now they’re taking the car to the streets but admit that they currently “drive it slow as are scared of giant lego explosion.” It uses four radial engines for power and can currently reach speeds up to 20mph.
Is this the Russian way of testing G-Force abilities? This kid has achieved every kid’s dream ever. He gets to the very top of swing and starts doing 360 degree spins at full speed. “We fear things in proportion to our ignorance of them.” – Christian Nestell Bovee
Fear is the most basic human emotion that prevents us from living our greatest potential or following our hearts. Most of us have experienced this at one time or another. The fear of failing can cause us to do nothing, and therefore resist moving forward. But when we allow fear to stop our forward progress in life, we’re likely to miss some great opportunities along the way.
Countless successful people have mentioned that they experienced fear at least at some points in life. The ones that keep their fear under check make it to the next level.
Whatever it is that scares you, here are 5 ways to help you cope with your fear and anxiety:
Take Your Time
When you are flooded with fear it is almost impossible to think clearly. So first thing is you need to calm down. When you are relaxed you’ll feel better and be able to decide on the next move.
Face Your Fear
The best way to cope with you fear is to face it. If you panic one day getting into a lift, it’s best to get back into a lift the next day. Stand in the lift and feel the fear until it goes away. Whatever your fear, if you face it, it should start to fade.
Don’t Run After Perfection
Don’t feel like if you are not the best you are a failure. Many of us feel that our lives must be perfect. But you need to remember that bad days and setbacks will always happen, and it’s essential to remember that life is messy.
Talk About It
Sharing fears takes away a lot of their scariness. Talk to your friends, partner or an expert about your fear. It will help.
Believe In Yourself
You ARE enough. By your very nature of being here on this earth, you are enough. Avoid comparing yourself to others and really focus on being the very best that you can in your own journey.
So how do you fight your fear? What works best for you? Leave your opinion in comments.
During the winter, it can be a real chore to get all the snow and ice off your windshield before heading out in the morning. This is a guide about keeping your windshield free of snow and ice with inexpensive items available at your home.
Add 3 parts of vinegar with 1 part of water in a spray bottle. Spray the mixture over windshield in the evening when there is no ice on it, it keeps them ice proof. Be sure to spray all the windows of the vehicle, not just the windshield and apply it every night.
Take 2 parts of rubbing alcohol (Surgical spirit) and 1 part of water in a spray bottle. Spray over the windshield in the evening when it is ice-free to prevent ice from forming overnight, it keeps them ice proof.
Use this mixture to wipe down the inside of your windshield to prevent the glass from fogging up.
Mix 5 tbsp rubbing alcohol (Surgical spirit) to your windshield washer fluid to prevent from freezing up. Use your windshield washer solution as usual.
Place an old blanket or a piece of cardboard over the windshield at night covering the glass completely. In the morning simply remove the covering from the windshield.
You can also buy a professional de-icer if you wish. While this costs more money than the other methods, but these products are guaranteed to quickly de-frost your vehicle with minimal effort.
Remember, never pour boiling water on your windshield as the sudden change in temperature creates thermal shock which might result in cracks.

This video has been posted on YouTube by Kathy sterner where her husband is lip syncing his daughter’s temper tantrum.
“My 6 year old daughter had been in her room wigging out for about an hour, and there was no talking her down. I was getting fed up, so my husband decided to lighten the mood. For the record, she’s not typically a beast child – she’s actually a pretty awesome little kid who was having a rough day.” said Mom, Kathy Sterner in video description.
